Business intelligence (BI) is the process of analyzing business data and turning it into actionable information to make strategic decisions. Through BI tools and platforms, companies can identify patterns, trends, and opportunities that allow them to optimize operations, improve sales strategies, and anticipate market behavior.

In the commercial field, business intelligence helps sales teams identify the most profitable customers, optimize sales funnels, and adjust marketing campaigns based on real data, thus increasing the company's efficiency and profitability.
