The Three-Brain Theory in Neuroscience

The brain is classified into three parts that act as separate organs with different cellular structures and functions. Although the three parts of the brain communicate with each other and share findings, each has its own function.

1.- Neocortex: Processes hard data, it is the rational part of the brain.

2.- Limbic: Processes emotions and visceral feelings.

3.- Reptilian: This brain is in charge of making decisions, it will usually choose the option that requires the least effort.
