Market Skimming


This refers to obtaining a small niche population that is part of your target market and is willing to buy a product.


It can also refer to starting with a high price for products or services, in order to cover innovation and distribution costs, starting with the most interested customers. Skimming the price is equal to the virtue of the life cycle of the products or services, it is possible to penetrate more massive segments.


It is essential to have an established brand to use price skimming, so that early adopters will quickly learn of the existence of a new product.
