The task of selling requires more and more knowledge and dedication. Modern salespeople have to adapt to the new situations of a changing market.
Currently, there are eight types of activities that a salesperson performs:
Student: Examines and studies the customer, learns as much as possible from him.
Doctor: He diagnoses the dissatisfactions of his customers and discovers their needs.
Architect: He designs a unique solution and elaborates projects.
Trainer: His main objective is to beat his competition, making offers to the same customer, analyzing his strengths and weaknesses.
Psychologist: Eliminates the client's fears and helps to solve them.
Negotiator: Aims to reach a mutual compromise, not just something that benefits only one party.
Teacher: Ensures that the customer knows how to use the product he bought.
Farmer: Must continue to cultivate customer satisfaction to grow the account.
