Unique Selling Proposition (USP)

This is a sales strategy that defines the difference that makes a product unique in comparison to its competition. This difference is made known through a market study, as well as the most perceived aspects of a certain brand.

Forming a purposeful and deliberate USP helps focus your marketing strategy and influences branding, messaging, copywriting and other marketing decisions. In short: a USP should quickly answer a potential customer's most immediate question about your brand: "What differentiates them from the competition?"
